I had a mixed experience during my stay at Empire Riverside Hotel. The rooftop bar offered stunning views and a vibrant atmosphere, but the service I encountered left me feeling unwelcome at times. The breakfast buffet was excellent, yet my attempt to order room service didn’t go as planned, which was quite disappointing.

While my room was clean and modern, I found the air conditioning hard to control. It often felt too warm for comfort. The views, particularly of the Elbe and port, were indeed a highlight.

Although the staff at reception seemed a bit cold, the night manager was very helpful in addressing my concerns. However, my interaction with some bar staff was frustrating, particularly when I was told to hand in my bag upon arrival at the rooftop bar.

The hotel's central location is fantastic, with easy access to shopping and attractions. Being close to the nightlife while still enjoying beautiful views felt like the perfect balance.

The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've encountered, featuring a wide variety of options. However, my experience with room service was disappointing; ordering a vegetarian burger resulted in a meat burger instead. There's definitely room for improvement in menu options for those with dietary restrictions.

The hotel had convenient amenities such as a mini-bar, but I was surprised not to find a kettle in my room. I appreciated the stylish communal spaces but wished there were more options for relaxation.

My room had fantastic views, with large windows overlooking the harbor. However, I struggled with the air conditioning as it was always too hot.

The hotel’s location near the Reeperbahn was perfect for exploring Hamburg’s nightlife and attractions, making it a great base.

While the breakfast was excellent with a wide variety, the room service menu didn’t cater well to my plant-based diet, which was disappointing.

The hotel had many great amenities, including a stylish rooftop bar with stunning views, but I expected some basic facilities like coffee makers in the room.

I had a mixed experience at the Empire Riverside Hotel. The views over Hamburg's harbor were simply amazing, and I loved the breakfast buffet; it was one of the best I've had! However, the hotel's location in a less desirable area left a lot to be desired, and slow internet made it tough for my business needs.

The room was nice, clean, and had beautiful views, but the twin beds pushed together felt a bit odd. Plus, there were some issues with communication as there were no phones in the room, making it tricky to reach out for help.
Service

While the staff were mostly friendly, I did experience some instances of rudeness at the reception, which was disappointing. I appreciated their efforts to assist with my needs but they could’ve been more consistent.

The hotel's location was central, perfect for exploring the city, but the street behind the hotel felt a bit dodgy, especially for families. I loved being close to the nightlife, but I wouldn’t want to wander around too much at night.

I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast spread at the hotel; it was very good and had a variety of choices. The rooftop bar was also a fun place to unwind, although the drink prices were on the higher side.

The amenities were decent, but I was disappointed to find no kettles or irons in the room, which is tough for a business traveler. The unique survival kits at check-in were a fun touch, though!
